I went on a short training course, obtained security clearance through RSVP/CSV and have now been working with children in their second year on a one to one basis for a year.
It is very rewarding to see the progress being made, especially by those children who find it more difficult than most to read and I have also enjoyed being Father Christmas and going on a school trip to the seaside.
Lets face it. Having retired I can spare an afternoon a week so recommend it to all Pups! Give me a call at home if you are interested or know someone who might be. It is open to anyone over 50. Some companies allow paid leave.
