5th PUPS HASH 11TH SEPTEMBER

YH3 Logo Thursday, 11th Sep 2008, 2:00 pm
Run number: 5 Venue: The Regent, Chapel Allerton
Hares: Henry Root & Weasel Shit

15/17 Regent Street, Chapel Allerton, Leeds LS7 4PE
(01132) 939-395

"The Regent - is it the one in Chapel Allerton or in town - where the hell is it supposed to be?" cried FD and others at the YH3 hash on Monday night. (Pups are blind as well as daft - Editor)

"6 brave souls subjected Henry Root (with Weasel Shit's assistance) to renaming Pups BS to Relief BS. (Got lost in Gledhow Wood. Relief at the 3 Hulats and the Nags Head.)" LIU

"I lay down on a gravestone in Chapel Allerton Cemetry and looked up at Mother & Father in Heaven who are having a real laugh at us." Ginger Root

Henry announced "Welcome to the first Hash Co-operative. No GM. No rules. Just a commune."

"Henry tried to say "cooperative" but after 2 pubs it sounded like "coptive!" Two of us seperated by at least 5 miles from the pack but finding all in time. What fun we all had! Ha Ha!" D'Dog

"I am going to have the cheapest meal on the menu." Weasel Shit (However, Jane still paid for it! Editor)

Stick stepped down as GM as feeling a bit dozy. Weasel Shit takes over as he reakons the Pups is all his idea anyway! (Vote declared illegal as Henry was at the Bar. Editor)

Next event 9th October: Lick it up & D'Dog

PUPS RUN NO. 4 - THURSDAY 14TH AUGUST 2008

NEW INN, WETHERBY - HARES NEW BILE, JACK TAR.

"It's all right for you lot! Some of us had to set the run in the rain and you got to run in the dry! " Jack Tar

"Awful beer. Lovely company." Henry Root

"Excellent run. Just my length! On on to next one." Ginger Root

"Shame you couldn't organise the weather. Good length trail and nearly 3 beer stops. We could have done the 'Muse' to substitute but overruled. On On." Weasel

"Superb run. Might come again. If only all trails were this long and so many beer stops. Bring on retirement!" Southbound

"In a pub where a 1/2 pint costs nearly as much as a pint we ended up on 1/2 a run which is nearly as much as a run for a pensioner." D'Dog

"Great virgin hare! Well done New Bile. Shame the blue sky was South - over York! Roads, woods, pub, road, flowers, pub, road pub. Sounds about right for PUPS!" FD

"I woz there - I think! With the help of my 'friend' this was the most difficult hash I have ever set! My 'deflowering' was something to behold!" New Bile

"It was such a good trail I have decided to do a drawing of you old bollocks." (Unfortunately, the giant ampersand / duck creature drawn would not fit onto the page. Sorry Wheels xxx)

PUPS HASH RUN 3 - THURSDAY 10TH JULY 2008

FOX & HOUNDS, HORSFORTH. HARE - WEASEL SHIT.

"Have I made it to run no 3? Who knows? Cracking good trail! Now I am all weaseled out! On On ya bollix!" Wheels

"Surprisingly, a most pleasant little run when the pace was actually faster than YH3. Well done! P.S. What happened to Stick?" Henry Root

"Wandered the stunning city of Horsforth the whole afternoon. Amazed at the variety and hospitality of pubs and the gentle, undulating countryside." D ' Dog

"Weather wonderfully arranged as usual! Fine beer and hopefully fine dining!! Enjoyed it all!!!" Posh Pupit.

"Ditto. Ditto. Ditto. Bus 36B. I don't believe it! My hands have shrunk. Roll on run 4." Newbile

"Trains. Plains - no boats. Good trail. Good weather. No shiggy. Thank you Weasel. Clueless.

"Sunny day, despite forecasts that lead to curtailment of run to just the right length. 4 beer stops - just about right! First ever silent circle c/o Wheels (My bank card number is NOT 0000!) D ' Dog has transmongrefied into Double D!" Lick it up.

"Write-ups getting too long (I can second that - HR) Good run. Good beer stops. The weather is getting used to PUPS - always good."

"Had to leave early as Andrew and I are having dancing lessons. Also, must go to the bingo at my club at 5 o'clock. Also don't like to be seen out with a lot of old people." Black Widow.

"As hare, had to contend with .... (illegible scrawl) Henry Root's ...... .. .... .. ..The Modified trail due to muddy conditions was OK. Beer stops Great." Weasel Shit

PUPS 2ND RUN - Thursday 12th June 2008

RED LION, YORK. HARE - STICK.

"Very good, 1/2 live hare trail. Seen sights in York I've never seen before! Well done to Stick."

"Bits of York I've never seen. How we found it I'll never know. Sometimes there were markings."

"Excellent and enjoyed the road and cycleway with it's hairpins and tunnels and tree plantations. Two good beer stops." Weasel

"My first PUPS so I'm still a virgin and not authorised to comment but best hot beef roll ever!" Henry Root

"There's a great cycle track for hashing along and times when flying objects flew through the air. A good PUPS outing in York."

"Made it to the second PUPS run - Wow! Great trail. No markings. It's nearly £3 a pint but who cares a shit? All we need is a good bus timetable. Thank you Stick." Wheels.

PUPS RUN 1 - Thursday 8th May 2008

The Lord D'Arcy, Harrogate Road, Leeds. Hares: Wheels & Jack Tar.

"Finest run of the PUPS yet! Woods. Reservoirs. Bluebells. Fabby."

"After all these years, a hare on a number 1 trail! Marvellous."

"Grabbed 2 balls. Not much of a handful. Pensioners had a great run."

"Lost the trail at end of golf course and had to return for a beer. I walked 7 miles to get here and needed a beer!" Weasel Shit.

"Well worth missing my afternoon nap for. I now have a headache with Wheels constant chatter." Anon

"Fantastic. Puppy walking at it's best. A great first run in excellent company and good beer."

"Glorious day, wonderful company. Thank God for being old." D ' Dog

"Highlights of the trail - Urinary Tract Stop. Well done Weasel back at the pub, feeding your kidneys. 2nd highlight - meeting the original sandy wrinkly pup at Ecup - a millionaire apparently. Great start. Well done Jack Tar, Wheels, Stick."

"Sun shining. Great run. Pity Stick was too drunk to leave the pub! Jack Tar didn't have any peas with his meal. He had his pee's down at the water."
